Fat Point

Hello Everyone! How are things going? This is going to be a pretty lame and short email. I don't have much time left. Oops.
Well, I am back in Santa Barbs. This time I am in down town, which is so different! This place is filled with crazies! Holy Cow. And let me just tell you, I have been touched more in the past week than I have my entire mission combined. My companion is very touchy feely which I have been forcing myself to allow because that is how she feels loved and then the people we teach are SUPER touchy too. We get hugs from strangers all day and then some of the people (who aren't always sanitary) kiss us on the cheek (they are usually wet too blech!!). Don't worry they are women but it still has been a lot for me to try and take in. Then there is our investigator who is blind. I will tell you more about that one when I am home....
Anyway, the ward is interesting. They have some good people here. I don't know how many of you Rocklin people read this but for those of you from there the Downs are in my ward. So that is kind of fun. I used to see their daughter Tess at the plasma center up at school all of the time. Anyway we are just chuggin along out here. Doing as much work as we can. We talk to a ton of homeless people here which is kind of fun. I have a picture with a couple of them. I will have to tell you that story next week. And guess what I totally jinxed myself. When I was leaving Moorepark I was joking around with the stake presidency about the poor missionaries who have to cover Montecito (If you haven't heard of that place...it is LOADED! Think Bountiful homes up by the temple. Those are the kind of homes there...plus land.) Anyway, that is in my area now. So I have the poorest of the poor and the richest of the rich. Woo.
Well, it is time for me to sign off. I was going to share a cool quote that I have in my scriptures but I left those in the car. So I need you all to look up the talk "the Challenge to Become" by elder Dallin H. Oaks. It is a great talk that talks about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps us to become something instead of just knowing something. It is really good. Anyway, I know the church is true and that Christ is at the head of it all!
Love you all! have a great week! Remember who you are and WHOSE you are!
